Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Laboratory Assistant! This is a W-2 contract opportunity supporting a dynamic laboratory and testing environment.

This role partners with senior laboratory staff and engineers to support the preparation, testing, and analysis of laboratory samples. The Laboratory Assistant will help execute defined test plans, operate laboratory equipment, document results, and maintain laboratory systems and equipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to testing procedures, and the ability to accurately document and interpret test data.

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
Prior SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing experience preferred
Previous compliance or regulatory testing experience
Working knowledge of laboratory information systems and laboratory equipment
Ability to read and interpret:
Blueprints
Schematics
Wiring diagrams
Operational instructions
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Ability to follow detailed test plans, procedures, and datasheets
Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety and security practices

What You Will Do
Assist senior laboratory staff in processing laboratory samples and performing tests
Build or adapt basic setups and test equipment for performance of tests
Perform testing using general laboratory equipment and tools
Record, interpret, and explain test results
Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to communicate test findings
Examine test samples, read measuring instruments, and review data with supervisors
Follow defined test plans and datasheets to conduct laboratory testing
Evaluate test performance and sample operation to assess results accurately
Maintain routine care of designated test equipment and work areas
Operate computer systems to input and extract testing data using available software
Review and document observed or calculated test results on appropriate data sheets
Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
Assist in examining customer samples and performing appropriate tests
Communicate with internal teams and customers during test setup and execution
Report findings and data to engineers and laboratory technician staff
Integrate continuous improvement concepts into laboratory processes
Follow organizational code of conduct and adhere to all physical and digital security practices
Perform additional duties as assigned

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $19 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity. The salary range provided is in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
