Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant & Tax Specialist to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting for the India entity of a GCC-based multinational company specializing in pipeline coating solutions using advanced robotic technology for the oil & gas industry.. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate accounting, timely statutory filings, regulatory compliance, and coordination with global finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities in accordance with Indian GAAP
  • Maintain general ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Post journals, accruals, prepayments, and provisions accurately
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure timely settlements
  • Manage employee expense claims, reimbursements, and petty cash
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage GST registrations, returns, reconciliations, and refund claims
  • Handle TDS deductions, payments, returns, and reconciliations
  • Support Income Tax filings, assessments, audits, and notices
  • Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax
  • Coordinate ROC filings and annual returns with company secretary
  • Liaise with external consultants for statutory compliance
  • Maintain compliance calendar for timely submissions
  • Support transfer pricing and intercompany compliance documentation

Audit & Risk Management

  • Assist in internal, statutory, and group audits
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents
  • Coordinate with auditors and resolve queries
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance procedures
  • Manage fixed assets register and depreciation schedules

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and forecasting
  • Support budgeting and mid-year financial reviews
  • Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
  • Assist FP&A teams with financial data and reporting

ERP & Systems

  • Manage finance data entry and reporting in ERP systems
  • Coordinate with international finance teams on shared processes
  • Support payroll, banking operations, vendor payments, and invoicing

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce / accounting / finance
  • CA / CMA Qualified

Experience

  • 4+ years of accounting and taxation experience in India
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure, or project-based industries preferred
  • Multinational company experience is an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP
  • Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESIC/PT
  • Knowledge of Companies Act basics
  • Transfer Pricing knowledge preferred
  • ERP system experience required; Oracle Fusion is an advantage
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
