We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT professional to join our team in a hybrid Trainer / Business Analyst role. This position focuses on the ongoing development, enhancement, and user adoption of the GUS Student Record System, (SYS/SMS). You will work closely with academic and administrative staff to gather requirements, deliver tailored training, and ensure the system meets user needs and institutional objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & User Engagement

  • Design, deliver, and maintain training materials for staff using the Student Record System.
  • Provide 1:1 and group training sessions both in-person and online.
  • Support users with guidance, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Champion system best practices and promote user adoption.

Business Analysis

  • Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements.
  • Translate user needs into functional specifications and workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Support testing, UAT, and deployment of system enhancements.

System Support & Development

  • Monitor and assess system usage, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the configuration and customization of system features to align with institutional policies.
  • Ensure system documentation is accurate and kept up to date.
  • Participate in change management and release planning.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Liaise with internal teams, including IT, Registry/Administration, Admissions, and Academic Services.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and system performance
  • Represent the needs of end users in cross-functional project meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 35 years in a Business Analyst or IT Trainer role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and influence users at all levels.
  • Proven ability to gather and interpret business requirements.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise documentation and training materials.
  • Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Experience

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst, IT Trainer, or hybrid role within an HE/FE or education setting.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or training users on student record systems or similar enterprise applications.
  • Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, UAT, and project methodologies (Agile or Waterfall)

Desirable

  • Experience with reporting tools or data visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection in an education context. Familiarity with system integration and APIs. Understanding of academic and administrative processes

Work Arrangement

  • Work-from-home arrangement, with occasional visits to the office as needed. Candidate must be located in Metro Manila or Nearby.
  • Work Location: 9th Floor Robinsons Zeta Tower, C5 Road, Ugong Norte, Quezon City. Office is near IPI Pasig and Tiendesitas. Office is accessible from Eastwood, C5 Road, Ortigas CBD, and Rizal areas.
  • Work Schedule (Monday to Friday, 3PM to 12AM PH time) weekends off.
