Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Assistant to join our high-volume plastic surgery and aesthetics practice. This role is ideal for a talented professional with a strong background in both medical/cosmetic office operations and surgical support. The ideal candidate will help ensure that our patients receive an outstanding, personalized, and seamless experience at every visit.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily patient flow and ensure timely rooming and provider interaction.

Educate patients about cosmetic procedures, including expectations, processes, and pre/post care for injectables, dermal fillers, neuromodulators, and non-invasive treatments.

Take precise before-and-after photos and identify aesthetic results.

Assist with consults, provide pricing quotes, and support during injectable treatments.

Prepare and set up treatment rooms, draw neuromodulator injections, and reconstitute neurotoxins as directed by the physician.

Serve as a scribe, inputting notes into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).

Conduct pre- and post-op/surgery calls and follow up after injectable treatments.

Maintain clean, organized clinical areas and monitor medical supply inventory.

Assist in consultations to assess aesthetic goals, manage expectations, and educate patients.

Support sales initiatives by promoting services and products.

Call in prescriptions to pharmacies and verify all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and functional for procedures.

Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure surgeon preferences and patient-specific needs are met.

Maintain awareness of sterile field, monitor for potential surgical site infection risks, and follow proper aseptic technique.

Ensure excellent customer service and a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:
2-7 years of experience as a medical assistant, including a minimum of 2 years in plastic surgery or medical aesthetics.

Strong knowledge of facial anatomy and cosmetic procedures.

Experience in phlebotomy is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.

Completion of a certified medical assistant program with internship preferred.

Current MA certification and CPR/First Aid certification required.

Ability to provide 3 professional references.
