Senior Accountant

Were seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant who brings 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience and is actively pursuing (or nearing completion of) their CPA designation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly closing procedures
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, errors, or opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Participate in special projects, including systems upgrades, audits, or M&A activities
• Stay current on industry trends and evolving accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Actively pursuing CPA certification (or completed all exam sections)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with [Enterprise, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.]
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Familiarity with tax preparation, audits, or compliance work
