Job purpose

The internal Chauffeur is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation support to the construction project management company. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of company personnel, clients, and materials, contributing to the efficient and effective operations of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Safely transport company personnel, clients, and materials to and from designated locations.
  • Ensure adherence to traffic rules and regulations during transportation.
  • Manage daily schedules to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager and other stakeholders to optimize transportation efficiency.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on the assigned vehicle.
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager for necessary repairs and upkeep.
  • Prioritize the safety and security of passengers during transportation.
  • Implement safety measures, including proper seatbelt usage and vehicle security checks.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients and company personnel.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with all customers and other relevant personnel.
  • Report any issues or concerns related to transportation promptly.
  • Assist in managing logistics, such as coordinating transportation for project-related materials.
  • Support in the efficient handling of equipment and materials.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Line Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a chauffeur or driver, preferably in a corporate or construction environment.
  • Understanding of traffic rules and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Excellent driving skills and a strong awareness of road safety.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Time management skills to adhere to schedules.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
