DD-045 CART Provider - Sacramento

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language and communication access service provider that connects independent professionals with potential opportunities to serve as freelance CART Providers (Communication Access Realtime Translation). Our mission is to bridge the communication gap for those in need through excellent and compassionate language and accessibility services.

Hanna is seeking skilled professionals to operate as freelance CART Providers in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As a CART provider, you make a positive contribution to society in support of real-time communication access for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. As an independent contractor, you act as your own boss, set your availability, and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need.

How to Qualify:

• Ownership of professional CART equipment and software (e.g., steno machine, CAT software, laptop, and display cables).
• Previous CART / realtime captioning experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings.
• Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and provide high-quality speech-to-text services.
• Strong communication, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Flexibility to work in different settings (on-site or remote) and adapt to various client environments.
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in CART or court reporting (e.g., NCRA CRC, CRR, or state CSR license) preferred.
