Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency are thrilled to present a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced and caring nanny to join a lovely professional family based in Central Chester They are seeking a warm, proactive, and committed nanny to provide nurturing care and educational support for their two delightful children a bright and energetic 6-year-old girl and a curious, adventurous nearly 3-year-old boy.
This is a wonderful role for a nanny who is passionate about child development, enjoys planning fun and enriching activities, and who takes pride in creating a well-organised, happy home environment for young children to thrive in. With so many wonderful activities right on their doorstep, its hard to imagine a better place to be a nanny.
About the Family and the Children
The family describe themselves as relaxed yet structured in their parenting approach, and they are looking for a nanny who can complement their style someone who will gently encourage independence while providing consistent guidance and care.
The little girl, aged 6, is full of energy and creativity. She loves dancing, gymnastics, singing, and swimming anything that gets her moving and lets her express herself! She thrives on positive encouragement and would love a nanny who can help her with schoolwork, develop her love of learning, and arrange playdates with her friends.
The 3-year-old boy is a true explorer at heart. He adores being outdoors, visiting the zoo, and discovering all things animals and dinosaurs! Swimming is also a favourite activity. At this stage of early childhood, the family would like a nanny who is confident in supporting developmental milestones, offering a fun, engaging daily routine, and encouraging speech, social skills, and independence through play and gentle teaching.
The Role
Your day will be full of variety, combining care for the younger child during school hours and supporting the older child before and after her school day. Typical duties will include:
- Planning and supervising a range of stimulating activities indoors and outdoors
- Organising outings to parks, playgroups, and educational visits (zoo trips are a big hit!)
- School runs for the 6-year-old
- Assisting with homework, reading, and project support
- Preparing healthy, varied meals and snacks
- Encouraging broader eating habits for the eldest child in a patient and positive way
- Supporting children's laundry and light organisational tasks such as packing school bags and organising uniforms
- Hosting and supervising playdates
- Supporting daily routines and ensuring the children are ready for the next day
A driving licence isn't essential due to the close proximity of the school and great location. They can provide a car for work if needed. Flexibility to support occasional changes to routine due to parental work travel would be appreciated.
Who They Are Looking For
The ideal nanny will be:
- Warm, loving, and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Organised, efficient, and a great communicator
- Confident and capable in caring for two children at different developmental stages
- Knowledgeable in supporting school-age education and early childhood development
- Creative in activity planning, bringing fun and educational moments into daily life
- Patient and understanding, particularly around mealtimes and encouraging healthy eating habits
- Someone who will work in partnership with the parents, respecting the familys values and parenting style
A minimum of 1 years professional nanny experience is required, alongside a full UK driving licence, up-to-date Enhanced DBS ( on(on the update service) , and Paediatric First Aid certification.
