Live-in Nanny/Housekeeper Long-Term Role
Location: PR6, North West England
Salary: £40,000 gross per annum (paid weekly in arrears)

This is a long-term role that offers stability, private accommodation, and a structured schedule in a supportive home environment.
About the role
We are seeking a confident and capable individual who can take on both high-quality childcare and housekeeping responsibilities. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting a busy household while delivering nurturing care to two young children.
About the Children

Two children aged 1 and 3 years

The eldest may begin nursery or early education classes in the near future

The role involves both sole and shared care
Accommodation and Benefits

Private, self-contained annex flat within the family home

Includes private bedroom, en-suite bathroom, television, kitchenette, and separate entrance

All utilities, Wi-Fi, and council tax included

Private on-site parking

Car provided for work-related duties

Travel expenses covered for domestic and international trips (three to four trips annually)
Working Hours and Schedule

7:30 am to 7:30 pm daily

Five days per week for three weeks of the month

Six days per week for one week each month
- 2 Saturdays and one Sunday required to work each month

Days off are rotated and scheduled in advance
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties

Care for two children, aged 1 and 3, on a sole and shared charge basis

Plan and lead stimulating, age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, baking, and developmental games

Coordinate nursery runs, playdates, and attendance at local groups and activities
-
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
-
Support routines, emotional development, and social interaction
-
Provide occasional proxy parenting with advance notice
Housekeeping and Household Management

General housekeeping for a spacious 3/4-bedroom home including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining household organisation

Laundry, ironing, bed changing, and wardrobe management
-
Weekly grocery and household supply ordering in collaboration with the family

Prepare home-cooked family meals several times per week

Ensure readiness and cleanliness of household items and linens
-
Oversee household maintenance and liaise with contractors when necessary
Travel and Flexibility

Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad (three to four trips per year)

Flexibility is essential, though working days are communicated in advance
Pets

One small, friendly dog

Pet care is not a primary responsibility, but occasional help is appreciated
Ideal Candidate

Minimum of five years professional nanny/housekeeping experience

Able to manage a busy household independently

Experienced in preparing nutritious meals and planning engaging activities

Highly organised, dependable, and proactive

Enhanced DBS check, excellent references, and a history of long-term roles

Full, clean UK driving licence (car provided for work duties)
