A lovely, music-loving family in the heart of Blackheath are searching for a nurturing and experienced nanny to join them long-term. This is a truly rewarding role for someone who enjoys bringing calm, joy and structure to busy family life.
About the Children:
The eldest, a thoughtful 12-year-old boy, adores books and maths and plays the flute. He also sings in a choir and thrives on gentle routine.
His 9-year-old sister is musical, creative, and full of imagination. She plays the piano and violin and has a lovely singing voice.
The youngest, a delightful 2-year-old (turning 3 in December), is full of character and charm. She loves organising her world in imaginative ways and enjoys playgroups, singing, and storytelling. She will start Montessori nursery in the mornings from January.
About the Role:
This is a sole-charge position and ideal for a confident, experienced nanny who can take initiative and support the children's development through both structured routines and free play.
Your day will typically begin with caring for the youngest planning activities, attending local playgroups, and supporting her early development in a loving, attentive way. You'll also manage the children's laundry, prepare wholesome meals, and take care of after-school logistics including pick-ups and clubs.
During school holidays, you'll have all three children at home. Days will be full, busy, and lots of fun perfect for a nanny who enjoys a varied and engaging routine.
The Ideal Nanny:
The family are looking for someone with the following:
- At least 3 years professional nanny experience
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or recently issued)
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- A confident cook who can prepare healthy, child-friendly meals
- Experience managing after-school routines and activities
- A warm, reliable and organised approach
- A genuine love of children, and an interest in their individual personalities and interests
Additional Notes:
The family's current nanny, who has been dearly loved, is sadly moving on to support a relative. Ideally, they would love a gentle handover in July, but they are also open to a September start for the right person.
This is a truly special opportunity to become part of a caring, respectful household where nannies are valued and the role is considered an essential part of the family. If you are experienced, thoughtful, and looking for a long-term position with a lovely family, we would be delighted to hear from you.
