Happy Nest are pleased to be supporting a family in Ilkley, LS29 who are looking for a capable and organised Housekeeper/Mothers help to join them on a long-term basis.

The family have a 19-month-old little boy and would like someone who can offer a good support taking responsibility for the general upkeep and smooth running of the household while occasionally being available to support some occasional childcare needs.

About the Role

• Days/Hours: 35 days per week, approx. 10/11am4/5pm (family can be flexible for the right candidate).
• Start Date: 1st November 2025 (with flexibility for the right candidate).
• Pets: The family have a friendly dog, so you must be comfortable around animals.

Duties Include

• Housekeeping to ensure the home is clean, organised and well maintained.
• Daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
• Laundry and ironing for the family.
• Family-style cooking and meal preparation.
• Keeping on top of household organisation and routines.
• Caring for the toddler when mum requires support, including playtime, routines, and light supervision.
• Running occasional errands when needed.

The Family Are Looking For

• A housekeeper / mothers help with at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Someone highly organised, proactive and reliable, who takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-run home.
• A candidate who also enjoys spending time with young children and can offer childcare support when needed if mum needs to run an errand/appointments etc.
• Someone looking for a long-term role who can really become part of the familys everyday life.

Happy Nest Agency Requirements

All applicants must hold:

• An Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
• An up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Excellent checkable references.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A driver is required

Salary

£18-20 gross per hour (depending on experience).
