The Associate will provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities (mainly international clients).
BASIC FUNCTION
As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team to assist in the planning and administration of audit assignments,enabling completion to a high standard within agreed timetable and budget. You will be motivated to perform and commit to effective client service to ensure the quality of work meets the firm ethical and professional standards and supports the organizational success. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES IN DIFFERENT LINES OF SERVICE
During your training you will be required to work in our different line of services department. Following is a list of few roles and responsibilities that you will be exposed to but not limited to.
ASSURANCE SERVICES
Special Purpose audit, statutory audit and other compliance assignments.
Review of Internal controls, internal audit services.
ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES
Preparation of technical accounting position papers and clearance with auditors of our client, if required
Preparation of accounting models and templates (ECL, IFRS 16, Impairment assessments, Going concern)
IFRS (full or SME) financial statements preparation
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting or consolidation packages
Actuarial valuation of employees end of service benefits
Preparation of business plans, feasibility studies, business valuations, business continuity plans, accounting policies and manuals, etc.
Involves the day-to-day recording, analysis and interpretation of firms financial transactions.
Includes the tracking of all expenses (purchases, payments etc.) and sales of finished products.
Includes the credit and collections policies for the firms client, to ensure that vendors and creditors are paid correctly and on time; and that the firm is also paid correctly and as when due.
Work with managers to prepare the firms budgets and forecasts and also give feedback with regards to the financial standing of the firm.
Use past records from respective departments to make better budgets and forecasts over long-term and short-term time horizons.
Includes creating good corporate relationships with the government by remitting related taxes to the relevant authority, and ensuring that implementation of tax matters are done within the framed policies.
