Harmonics Recruitment is seeking an experienced professional to lead cross-functional business process improvement and drive operational excellence initiatives across our client organisation in the Mid West.
Responsibilities:
Process & Performance Optimization
- Evaluate current workflows and identify inefficiencies using tools like value stream mapping, 5S, and other Lean techniques.
- Design and implement process improvements to streamline operations and boost quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
CI Strategy & Project Leadership
- Develop both tactical and strategic CI plans aligned with wider business goals.
- Lead CI initiatives from planning to execution, defining milestone-based charters, managing a project funnel, and driving Kaizen events.
Data Analytics & KPI Management
- Define and track key performance indicators (OEE, quality, throughput, defects, downtime, etc.).
- Use data analysis to identify trends, target improvements, and report impact to stakeholders.
Training & Culture Building
- Train and coach cross-functional teams on Lean, Six Sigma , root cause analysis, and CI tools.
- Facilitate workshops (Kaizen, Gemba, DMAIC, PDCA) to engage employees and promote continuous improvement.
Change & Governance Management
- Manage change initiatives, communicate modifications and track resistance; include stakeholders to ensure sustainable adoption.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors in engineering, industrial/mechanical engineering, or related field. MBA preferred by some employers
- Experience: 58+ years in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or operational excellence. Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum or equivalent professional training. PMP certification is a plus.
Required Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen facilitation, SPC, continuous flow, pull systems, visual management.
- Data & Digital Savvy: Experience with reporting/visualisation tools, ERP systems, process mining, or advanced analytics to drive data-led improvements.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent at stakeholder engagement, presenting to senior management, influencing cross-functional teams, and mentoring colleagues.
