The Challenges

  • Lead the technology strategy for Warehouse and Transport Management Systems, ensuring platforms are optimized to drive efficiency, accuracy, and resilience across operations.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of WMS and TMS platforms, including configuration, enhancement, upgrades, and seamless system performance across multiple facilities.
  • Build and lead a team of specialists, fostering professional growth, technical expertise, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align WMS and TMS capabilities with broader supply chain objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure high-quality system delivery through rigorous testing, validation of business flows, and robust quality assurance practices.
  • Provide expert support and troubleshooting for geographically distributed operational teams, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues and minimal business disruption.
  • Design and deliver documentation, training materials, and guidance to strengthen adoption and effective system use across the organization.

Conduct operational analysis to identify and address inefficiencies within distribution and logistics networks, applying data-driven insights to enhance performance.

  • Develop and refine SQL queries and reporting mechanisms to provide actionable insights for decision-making and continuous optimization.
  • Monitor industry advancements in supply chain technology, integrating best practices to future-proof systems and support innovation.
  • Actively contribute to migration projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and long-term sustainability.
  • Engage stakeholders across functions, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication channels between the technology team and business partners.

What It Takes

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience delivering and supporting modern WMS solutions (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder), with exposure to TMS platforms considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams, including mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Strong SQL expertise, including development and optimization of queries and stored procedures; familiarity with ERP systems preferred
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of diagnosing system challenges and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, large-scale logistics or e-commerce environments, with understanding of operational dynamics and industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel when necessary.
