Agile Delivery Manager
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager with expertise in Agile Delivery and Product Management. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience of end-to-end delivery, managing scope and schedule with an Agile-centric approach to prioritisation and value delivery, and following from intake of work through the complete Release Delivery cycle to the deployment of the Project(s).
As the Agile Delivery Manager, you will work closely with the Development team, the Product Team, and the DevOps team, ensuring delivery of our products and services to clients/stakeholders whilst also evolving and improving our processes.

Responsibilities
The Agile Delivery Manager is expected to significantly impact and improve our development journey, agreeing on packages of work to be delivered, and then engaging closely with all areas of the business to ensure success.
Key accountabilities include:
  • Act as the sole participant with complete oversight of technical delivery from project inception through to release;
  • Work alongside the Scrum Masters and Development Team, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and the DevOps team to ensure end-to-end delivery of our product range;
  • Research and advance our pipelines, technologies, delivery processes, multi-tasking on multiple projects with other team members;
  • Strictly follow Agile Delivery practice and conventions;
  • Leverage various reporting matrixes that provide project insight – assisting on backlog management/roadmap creation with the Product Owners/Business Analysts;
  • Motivate and encourage the Development team with their Delivery outcomes;
  • Troubleshoot any delivery issues in a timely manner in a highly scalable development environment;
  • Act as the catalyst to improve delivery process and overall development practices;
  • Work with the SCRUM Masters on their reporting, communicating progress and risks at both the sprint and overall project level and fine-tuning the delivery approach;
  • Contribute and assist the DevOps team with their delivery process – determine any refinements and encourage advancements;
  • Ensure documentation is created to a high standard and then followed for all areas of Delivery Management.
Qualifications
The Agile Delivery Manager should have excellent knowledge in all areas of Software Delivery, and their experience should include the following:
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree relevant to Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent) and around 5 years of relevant work experience preferably acting as an Agile Delivery Manager (or Release Manager/Technical Project Manager);
  • Experience working within a Release Management model, and exceptional understanding of Agile methodology and the Agile SDLC;
  • Experience working alongside Scrum Masters, managing scope and schedules with an Agile approach to prioritisation and value delivery;
  • Act as the functional and subject matter authority (SME) for the solution that is being delivered;
  • Ensure teams deliver demonstrable value against the client/product owner/stakeholder’s objectives every iteration, and that delivery is optimal and repetitious;
  • Ensure quality gate criteria is met at each gate alongside the Scrum Masters;
  • Leverage a scalable qualitative and quantitative approach to risk management, identifying risks early, providing high visibility on impact and urgency against project milestones, and determining timely, necessary action(s);
  • Act as the catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality;
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and coaching to members of the development team on delivery, in collaboration with their Development Leads and Managers;
  • Contribute to our Process and Practices, leveraging a refined toolkit of best practices, collaboration tools, techniques, activities, and release delivery management;
  • Ability to recognise and mediate conflict between parties at all levels, with both teams and with the external stakeholders/clients working with our teams;
  • Very good written and oral communication level in English language.


It would be nice to have additional understanding in the following areas:
  • Has previously worked in the financial service industry and has experience as a Delivery Manager in capital markets and trading software solutions;
  • Understanding in Delivery Managing of blockchain solutions;
  • Certifications in one or more of PMI, PMP, ACP, CSM, SAFe, or LeSS;
