Associate Network Support Engineer
Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE
The Associate Network Engineer is responsible in resolving network operational issues and concerns
to corporate. S/he maintains computer and network hardware; and providing information,
direction, and/or recommendation regarding computer equipment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Takes part in designing computer networks, physical and logical network infrastructures, for
the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient operating systems.
• Maintains network operations and computer hardware for the purpose of ensuring efficient
operations.
• Repairs network-related failures for the purpose of maintaining computer and network
equipment in a safe and functional condition (e.g. computer, network equipment,
configuration files, etc.)
• Coordinates department activities, computer operations and data network activities for the
purpose of providing services to other divisions, and organizations while meeting department
objectives.
• Researches network related software applications and hardware requirements for the
purpose of providing recommendations regarding applications and purchases and ensuring
availability of materials.
• Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written
reference and/or conveying information.

document may be assigned by the immediate superior.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
a. EDUCATION REQUIRED – Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer
Science or its equivalent course.
b. EXPERIENCE – Job related experience within specialized field is required.
c. COMPETENCIES:
KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge in operating equipment used in computer networking;
• Knowledge in networking standard, practices, and safety regulations
• Knowledge in digital analog electronics to component levels, LAN/WAN
administration, TCP/IP protocols, current generation operating system
• Basic or advanced knowledge in office software and diagnostic applications; and
operating standard office equipment
SKILLS
• Strong Technical/Networking/Computer Skills: Ability to understand technical
network requirements and communicate them clearly in a verbal or written format
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze situation/problem to define issues and draw
conclusions
• Ability to troubleshoot and find resolutions to complex technical network problems
reported by the users/internal personnel
• Project Management: Ability to plan, execute and manage projects/assigned tasks
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
ATTITUDE
• Customer-focused: Ability to interact and adjust w/ the customers/clients within the
organization.
• Ability to interact effectively within the IT team, various business functions, and
various levels of management.
