About the job Commissioning Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience) + an additional payment of £5,000 for out-of-hours work.
Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Leicester, Coventry, Redditch, Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes, or Hemel Hempstead.
Role Summary:
The company is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to work with the UK's largest fleet of semi-permanent traffic systems. The role involves ensuring that traffic control systems are installed correctly and functional before being approved for use by customers. This is a technical position that may require day, night, and occasional weekend work. The job is dynamic, involving travel to various sites, and a company van and fuel card are provided.
Responsibilities:
- Commissioning the installation of Traffic Control systems while coordinating with local authorities.
- Reviewing and testing controller configuration documents to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Assisting with signal and cable repairs as needed.
- Supporting site meetings and inspections when required.
- Providing support for CCTV inquiries.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following:
- Worked with temporary or permanent traffic systems.
- Experience as a Commissioning Engineer.
- Understanding of electrical systems.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Experience conducting Site Acceptance Tests.
- Understanding of controller specifications.
- Technical competence in fault finding, wiring, and electronics.
