About the job Learning & Development Lead
We are looking for a Learning & Development Lead who can support the UK business within warehousing and logistics. Paying a salary up to £40k with a car allowance, reports into the HRD. This role can be based in Manchester or Kettering. Based in the office but when needs be hybrid can be taken. This is a really exciting opportunity to be the lead, the specialist in your passion of L&D. There are no line management responsibilities. You will currently be in a standalone Learning & Development role within business or industry. This role will be hands on and fast paced from the start, you will be the L & D subject matter expert.
The L&D Lead is to support the HR team, and work in partnership with key stakeholders, to ensure the L&D offering delivers continuous development of the people. As the L&D subject matter expert, the role will facilitate and co-ordinate comprehensive development and training services to the Retail Division through a combination of e-learning, face to face workshops, alongside external training providers.
Managing the new e-learning system for the retail division, and any associated admin, reporting, design builds and continuous improvement of the system.
Support the design of both in-house, and with expert third parties, a training solution which includes a blended approach to learning such as coaching, mentoring, classroom training, 1-2-1 sessions and e-learning in MyLearning.
Support the Regional HR Managers with the analysis of Operating Companies and individual training needs, in conjunction with relevant management teams following performance reviews.
Identify skill gaps within the business by working with the Regional HR managers and management teams. Delivery of in-house training - where appropriate and as required. Provide proactive support, advice and guidance on all training requirements and issues.
Manage and co-ordinate any external training for the division, including practicalities such as location, delegate communication and support etc. Be prepared to take additional responsibility to support the department or function.
Ideally, CIPD qualified, a driving licence is necessary as the role is multi-site and you will be expected to travel, this is a multi-site role around the UK. An interest in warehousing, logistics type background would be great to really understand all stakeholders around the business.
