The Role:
My client is seeking a positive and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their team in Preston. This role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, working alongside volunteers and staff to maintain healthy relationships and ensure efficient operations. You'll play a key role in maintaining stock levels, assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, and promoting a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily warehouse operations and front-of-house tasks.

Work closely with staff and volunteers to maintain positive and productive working relationships.

Monitor stock levels and ensure smooth operational flow.

Support the loading and unloading of vehicles, and maintain accurate stock rotation.

Uphold and promote a positive work ethic, acting as a role model for others.

Keep storage and food areas clean and organised at all times.

Perform any other tasks requested by the depot manager.
Person Specification Essential:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Full UK driving licence.

FLT counterbalance licence.

Good computer and numeracy skills.

Excellent organisational skills and a strong social conscience.

Ability to work flexibly and prioritise tasks.

Confidence, resilience, and attention to detail.
Desirable:

Previous warehouse experience.

Experience working with individuals facing multiple barriers.
