The Role:
My client is seeking a positive and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their team in Preston. This role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, working alongside volunteers and staff to maintain healthy relationships and ensure efficient operations. You'll play a key role in maintaining stock levels, assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, and promoting a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily warehouse operations and front-of-house tasks.

  • Work closely with staff and volunteers to maintain positive and productive working relationships.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure smooth operational flow.

  • Support the loading and unloading of vehicles, and maintain accurate stock rotation.

  • Uphold and promote a positive work ethic, acting as a role model for others.

  • Keep storage and food areas clean and organised at all times.

  • Perform any other tasks requested by the depot manager.

Person Specification Essential:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • FLT counterbalance licence.

  • Good computer and numeracy skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong social conscience.

  • Ability to work flexibly and prioritise tasks.

  • Confidence, resilience, and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Previous warehouse experience.

  • Experience working with individuals facing multiple barriers.

  • Basic food hygiene knowledge.
