Main mission
The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for the quality of new products during the development and industrialization phases.
He ensures the conformity of products and processes with customer requirements, particularly through the preparation and validation of First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, up to the start of mass production.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise quality aspects related to new product projects (NPI).
- Ensure product compliance with customer requirements (drawings, specifications, standards).
- Perform quality risk analyses (Product & Process FMEA).
- Define and implement control plans and quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews and project milestones (APQP).
- Monitor prototyping phases, testing, pre-series, and mass production start-up.
Manage product validation activities:
- Prepare and compile First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Verify dimensional, material, and process compliance.
- Coordinate inspections with the laboratory and production teams.
- Present results to customers and obtain their approval.
- Manage deviations and lead corrective actions.
- Analyze non-conformities and lead resolution activities (8D, 5 Why).
- Monitor project quality indicators (PPM, scrap, capability).
- Ensure the quality interface between customers, production, methods, and project teams.
- Participate in internal and external audits (customers, certifications).
- Contribute to continuous improvement actions (Lean Manufacturing).
Required Profile
- Education

Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

1 to 5 years of experience in industrial quality or project quality

Experience in an industrial environment

Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, control plans)

Proficiency in problem-solving methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)

Knowledge of APQP and PPAP
- Good understanding of industrial processes (machining, assembly)
