Operations and Maintenance support for Digital Channels using Technologies like Java, Angular, .Net for Telecom Operator

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Day to day operations and maintenance of Apache web server, Nginx web server, Tomcat servlet container, IIS application server, Java, Angular .NET technologies, MS SQL Server DB, MySQL DB, KIOSK, POS, EVD, Mobile App, Portals and Channels.
  • Deep understanding of IP Networks, TCP/IP Protocol, related analytical and troubleshooting skills, Knowledge of related troubleshooting tools, proper uses.
  • Expert Level Knowledge of SQL/ PL SQL, Oracle, My SQL and MS SQL DBs for client-side operations.
  • Good Knowledge of XML, Java, SOAP, REST and other protocols.
  • Shell Script Development or other workaround as alternative solutions for ongoing issues to ensure business continuity.
  • Follow established testing procedures to ensure application is thoroughly tested during development and prior to release.
  • Analyze business processes, identify causes of problems and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Identify and report the defects and deficiencies in existing and new applications, liaise with development team to resolve issues.
  • Implement logging, auditing, and user notification features within all custom components
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems through research and technical analysis.
  • Operations and System Management capacity management, defining metrics, reviewing performance metrics and designing approaches to measure business KPI's
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and perform analysis based on the requirement from business and/or planning counterpart
  • Provide technical advice in the analysis, design, enhancement and implementation of business applications to support internal business functions.
  • Handle support calls during office hours, after office hours, weekends and public holidays. Attend to trouble tickets and resolve issues within the OLA timelines
  • Learn and follow change management process and other organization processes in place.
  • Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution.
  • Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application Maintenance, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.

Education And Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and React Native for mobile development.
  • Experience with REST APIs, OAuth2, JWT, and Microservices architecture.
  • Application and Web Servers: WebLogic application server, Apache web server, Tomcat servlet container, Complex .NET Applications, NGINX, IIS Webservers
  • Database Systems: Oracle, SQL Server, My SQL
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Windows

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
