We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Construction Coordinator to oversee and manage the installation of voice and data cabling, as well as related services, for capital projects. In this role, you will work closely with contractors, vendors, and various county agencies, ensuring the successful implementation of telecommunication infrastructure that meets the Department of Information Technology (DIT) standards.

You’ll be responsible for optimizing the performance of voice communication systems and related infrastructure, conducting field trials, providing recommendations, and participating in design review meetings. You will also prepare design specifications, project plans, and manage project expenditures while coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support voice/data cabling and service installation for capital projects.

  • Provide telecommunication support for county renovation projects.

  • Ensure the optimal performance of communication systems and infrastructure.

  • Conduct research, field trials, and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.

  • Participate in design review meetings to ensure DIT communication infrastructure requirements are met.

  • Prepare design specifications, project plans, and manage infrastructure project expenditures.

  • Coordinate and monitor work with contractors and project managers.

  • Inspect and enforce infrastructure installation standards.

  • Sign off on construction documents and drawings for renovation and capital projects.

  • Stay current with IT industry innovations and regulatory requirements.
