Position Overview
The Remote Data Entry Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy and integrity of our clinical and administrative data. Working from home, this position is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining information in electronic systems with a high degree of speed, accuracy, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, comfortable with technology, and motivated to contribute to a mission‑driven healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and maintain patient, billing, and administrative data in electronic systems and databases.
Review source documents for accuracy and completeness before data entry.
Verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and correct or flag issues as needed.
Perform regular data quality checks and follow up on discrepancies according to established procedures.
Organize and prioritize data entry tasks to meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient and organizational information at all times.
Retrieve data from databases or electronic files when requested by authorized staff.
Assist with generating basic reports or exporting data, as directed by supervisors or management.
Collaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to clarify information and resolve data issues.
Follow established workflows, policies, and documentation standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
Participate in remote training sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews as required.
Adhere to all remote work guidelines, including workstation setup, security, and time management expectations.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Proven experience as a data entry clerk, data processor, administrative assistant, or similar role.
Strong typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with computers and comfort using spreadsheets, databases, and web‑based software.
Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a secure, quiet home workspace.
