As a Remote Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Analytics Engineer, you will develop and maintain data infrastructure, reporting tools, and analytical models to improve the efficiency and accuracy of revenue cycle operations. You will support healthcare finance and billing teams by transforming raw data into actionable insights that address key RCM metrics, including claims processing, collections, denials, reimbursements, and billing workflows.

This role combines technical data engineering skills with a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment to support financial performance in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes that extract, clean, and transform revenue cycle data from EHRs, billing systems, and databases

Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for key RCM metrics (e.g., AR days, claim denials, payment lag, charge capture)

Partner with RCM, finance, and IT teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable data solutions

Conduct data audits and root cause analysis to identify issues in billing workflows, denials, or payer reimbursements

Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Support analytics initiatives related to payer contract analysis, revenue leakage, or productivity monitoring

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations in all analytics and reporting work

Recommend and implement improvements to data infrastructure and reporting processes to support business intelligence initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field

2+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or RCM operations

Proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques (ETL/ELT)

Experience working with healthcare data systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or other EHRs

Familiarity with key RCM metrics and processes including coding, billing, claims, and payment reconciliation

Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)

Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance in data environments

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
