We are currently hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for full-time and part-time opportunities at a Long-Term Care (LTC) Home in Shelburne, Ontario.

Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and dedicated PSW who is passionate about supporting seniors? We are seeking caring professionals to join our team in a Long-Term Care setting, providing high-quality resident-centered care in a supportive environment.

Quick Information:

  • Location: Shelburne, ON
  • Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
  • Compensation: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
  • Minimum Requirement: 1 year PSW experience (preferably in LTC)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months) required
  • TB Test required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities
  • Current certification in NVCI and GPA considered strong assets
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced LTC environment
  • Knowledge of medication assistance is an asset
  • Understanding of infection prevention and control practices
  • Demonstrated reliability and good attendance record
  • Bilingualism considered an asset

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Follow LTC home policies, procedures, and Ministry standards
  • Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Support meal services and feeding assistance as required
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and resident confidentiality
  • Promote residents dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Participate in care conferences and team meetings
  • Support infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
