Role Details:

• Job Title: Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
• Location: Multiple locations across BC (including FNHA sites)
• Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Casual (Agency Staffing)
• Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Clinical Nurse Lead / Health Director

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, direct psychiatric care to individuals in need
• Perform thorough assessments and contribute to patient care plans
• Administer medications and monitor outcomes
• Deliver therapeutic interventions and patient education
• Advocate for patients and support their mental wellness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to provide holistic care

Primary Work Settings:

• FNHA-operated sites: Nursing Stations, Health Centres, Clinics
• BC Health Authorities: Facilities across Interior Health, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, Vancouver Island Health, Northern Health, and PHSA

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Registered and licensed RPN in BC
• Current BCLS certification
• Clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
• Up-to-date immunizations
• Two professional references

Experience:

• 18+ months of psychiatric nursing experience (Health Authority roles)
• 24+ months for FNHA-specific assignments

Preferred:

• Remote Certified Practice (for Nursing Stations)
• BCCDC Immunization Competency (required for Health Centres)
