HRRMC has an opening for a Full-Time Exempt (40 hrs./wk.) Rural Health Care Clinic Manager. Applicants must be a Registered Nurse to apply. This role will be managing clinic staff at the Salida Health Center . Scheduled hours for this role will be Monday - Friday.
As a manager, may perform the same duties/responsibilities as subordinates. Responsible for hands-on supervision of the day to day activities and personnel of assigned functions. This role supervises and
coordinates employees and demonstrates leadership and responsibility for the function of the defined service line. The strength of this position is through the focused expertise and 24/7 responsibility of a
specific area of focus. Focus of the position is on staff supervision, scheduling and training. The role demonstrates expertise and is able to handle multiple priorities. Functions as a role model for current
and new staff. Utilizes problem solving techniques to prevent conflict and promote team development. Leads other personnel in the provision of duties. Maintains a calm and safe environment for customers
and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Under the direction of the director or VP, works within budgetary guidelines to ensure new and existing practices are staffed and equipped accordingly. Responsible to ensure provider schedules ar templated in the EHR per direction of provider, director and/or VP in accordance with contractual productivity requirements.
2. Works with new providers to identify space and technology needs; submits request for new computer and software. Responsible to arrange computer training and ensures that new provider and staff receive any additional IT/training support on an ongoing basis.
3. Responsible to hold monthly practice meetings with each clinic location. Obtains input from employees, supervisors, director, VP and physician(s) and develops the agenda for practice meetings; leads meetings and ensures agenda is followed. Immediately
communicates any issues with director and/or VP. Follows up practice meetings with a written summary to provider, director, VP and all participants.
4. Communicates any concerns or issues directly with the provider whenever possible or consults immediately with their director or VP, keeping them in the loop. Does not wait to be rounded on to share concerns. Participates in provider annual performance evaluations
as requested by director or VP.
5. Acts as a liaison between the hospital and local/consulting physician offices to foster cooperative relationships and problem solves issues regarding patient care.
6. Maintains knowledge and appropriate skill sets regarding the Rural Health Clinics.
7. Provides direct patient care as needed in the medical office clinics.
8. Ensures a teamwork and collaboration between the clinics and all hospital departments.
9. Participates in the development of clinical guidelines with medical staff, nursing
administration, pharmacy, and other ancillary services as appropriate.
10. Establishes a positive, collaborative relationship with other community agencies including
but not limited to Public Health and Home Health and Hospice.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Associates of Science in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 3 years nursing leadership experience.
