Electromechanical System Engineer
Job Description:
As an Electromechanical System Engineer in the Product Care Team, you will support Siemens eMobility Charging by maintaining and advancing the reliability and performance of our EV charging solutions. You will combine design expertise, system integration, and problem-solving to ensure our electromechanical systems continue to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Your key responsibilities include
Design, Develop, and Maintain: Contribute to the design, optimization, and ongoing reliability of electromechanical systems and components, ensuring product robustness and manufacturability.
CAD Expertise: Use your advanced skills in SolidWorks or Siemens NX to create detailed technical drawings, 3D assemblies, and models for mechanical design.
System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components to meet system-level requirements and technical specifications.
Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve technical challenges related to material durability, assembly issues, or system reliability in existing products.
Testing and Validation: Organize and oversee rigorous testing procedures to verify product performance and validate design changes, occasionally performing tests at customer sites.
Documentation: Write and maintain detailed, user-focused technical documentation, such as manuals, service guides, and product specifications, to ensure transparency and clarity for customers and internal teams.
Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and service, to ensure smooth project execution and shared accountability for product performance.
Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback, support product implementation, and troubleshoot challenges on-site.
Continuous Improvement: Actively identify product and process improvement opportunities, driving innovations to enhance system quality and efficiency.
What you bring
- Bachelors degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in cross-disciplinary engineering (mechanical and electrical).
- Advanced skills in mechanical design using Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
- Basic competence in Eplan to understand and collaborate on electrical systems.
- Proven expertise in solving technical, system-level challenges, with a hands-on approach to producing practical solutions.
- A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset capable of managing tasks independently from start to finish.
- Sound testing and validation capabilities, with a methodical approach to confirming system reliability.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) for collaboration and documentation.
- Comfortable working in a small, dynamic team where flexibility and versatility are essential.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with Eplan software or related tools is useful but not mandatory.
