 Job Description:

Electromechanical System Engineer (with Planning Focus)

Eindhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands

Job Description

As an Electromechanical System Engineer within our Product Care Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of Siemens eMobility EV charging solutions. You will combine strong electromechanical design capabilities, system integration expertise, and hands-on engineering problem-solving—all while leading the teams planning processes to keep development cycles aligned with product roadmaps and market needs.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of mechanical and electrical engineering, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes ownership of both technical challenges and team coordination.

Your Key Responsibilities

Electromechanical Design & Product Reliability

  • Design, develop, and optimize electromechanical systems and components to ensure robust performance, manufacturability, and long-term reliability.
  • Create high-quality CAD models, 3D assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Identify and drive product improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Team Planning & Agile Leadership

  • Take a leading role in team planning using Agile methodologies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Facilitate effective collaboration, task prioritization, and alignment with the overall product roadmap.
  • Promote continuous improvement by removing impediments, streamlining processes, and optimizing workflow efficiency.

System Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components that meet system-level performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, quality assurance, and service teams to guarantee smooth execution and shared accountability.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and align on scope and deliverables.

Technical Problem-Solving

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to material durability, mechanical design, assembly processes, or system reliability.
  • Support testing and validation activities with a structured, data-driven approach.
  • Occasionally interact directly with customers to gather feedback or troubleshoot on-site challenges.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of cross-disciplinary engineering experience (combined mechanical/electrical).
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently manage tasks from concept to completion.
  • Advanced skills in Siemens NX or SolidWorks for mechanical design.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems for effective system-level integration.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar planning/coordination role within an engineering environment.
  • Excellent English communication and facilitation skills to guide discussions and align teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve system-level technical challenges with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Experience with testing and validation to ensure system reliability.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced, and versatile team.

Bonus Points

  • Agile or Project Management certifications (Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, etc.).
  • Experience with EPLAN or similar electrical design tools.

Why Join Us

  • Work on impactful, real-world technology driving the future of EV charging and sustainable mobility.
  • Grow your expertise with cutting-edge electromechanical systems and industry-leading tools.
  • Collaborate with talented professionals across R&D, quality, and production.
  • Build a long-term career within Siemens, with opportunities for internal growth and development.
