We are seeking an energetic Project Engineer to join our team, and contribute to the successful engineering work on our large, complex EVSE (Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment) installation projects. Your role:
As a Project Engineer you are responsible for the day-to-day engineering work on our large, complex installation projects. Together with the Project Manager and the Site Manager, you are responsible for the realization of the project within planning, budget and quality standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Handle the project planning and execution, including basic design for the EVSE system, defining project scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
- Design and develop charging solutions tailored to specific customer requirements, considering factors such as power capacity, space limitations and charging infrastructure compatibility.
- Prepare engineering drawings, depot layouts, specifications, cable management and other technical documentation (installation manuals, drawings, cable calculations, etc).
- Asses the different engineering packages from suppliers/installers and make sure that interfaces are aligned.
- Support business development manager in tendering and/or reviewing the installers offer and scope of work together with the project buyer.
- Work closely with installers, all over the world, to provide them with the technical details of the Heliox products and systems. Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate feasibility and identify technical requirements for EVSE installations.
- Initiate structural and product improvements based upon lessons learned from project activities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal teams as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in EV charging technologies to continuously improve project outcomes.
Required qualifications:
- Vocational (MBO4) or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience as an Electrical Engineer in development, installation or implementation, preferably with site experience.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools like AutoCAD, Eplan, Solid works.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high power distribution, and charging technologies.
- Experience with tenders and contractors is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to EV charging installations, (like NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEC 60364 and IEC 61439)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude and hands-on mentality.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites, as required.
- Fluently speaking and writing in Dutch and English is mandatory, preferably also in German or French.
