Experienced Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Veldhoven | Full-time | E-Mobility & Charging Systems

Your role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll work at the heart of our products: robust embedded systems based on Linux.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead 24 team members in focused subprojects (e.g., HMI user interface updates)
  • Design and implement new features using C++ and Qt
  • Contribute to stable, scalable, and future-ready embedded software
  • Operate within a Scrum environment with clear sprint goals and deliverables
  • Clarify requirements, assess technical risks, define priorities, and make informed trade-offs
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation and accurate project administration
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement in code quality and performance


What you bring

You combine technical depth with a pragmatic mindset. You know how to deliver high-quality code in a fast-moving environment.

  • A degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Strong background in:
  • Embedded Linux Development (C++/Yocto/Debian)
    HMI Application Development (Qt/C++/UI/UX)
  • Experience with guiding small teams or taking ownership of subprojects
  • Experience with large-scale production (10,000+ units beyond prototyping)
  • Clear and calm communicator even under time pressure
  • Able to assess technical risks, clarify priorities, and manage changing requirements
  • Thinks ahead, plans proactively, and balances short-term actions with long-term impact
  • Managing expectations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of EV charging standards is a plus (Communication between charger and vehicle, communication between charger and back office)
