The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer NPI, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing process technology activities, ensuring adherence to product introduction standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing excellence. You will report directly to the SCM Senior Director.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Initiate and oversee process technology development aligned with the New Product Generation and product technology roadmap.
- Ensure compliance with product introduction standards and processes.
- Collaborate with the Product Program Manager to achieve project goals.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing, Assembly & Test, and Cost optimization.
- Establish Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from R&D.
- Orchestrate design for lean manufacturing, providing inputs to PDLM workflows.
- Accountable for Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing Master data.
- Define Inspection and Test Criteria for modules and final assemblies.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
- Create regular update reports on Products & Processes by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate should be independent, sustainable, cooperative, exploring, sincere, ambitious, and proud. A strong commitment to health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and ethical practices is essential. They should demonstrate the ability to lead, troubleshoot, and uphold high ethical standards in decision-making. The candidate should possess a disciplined and organized approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and objectivity in problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or electronic) or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a NPI Manufacturing Engineer in a high-tech assembly environment.
- Competencies: Analytical, Anticipation, Decisiveness, Result orientation, Planning, and organizing.
- Skills: Dealing with Complexity, Communication, Leadership, Problem-solving, Technical expertise.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, tool design, and standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001).
- Familiarity with CAD systems for design review and simulation.
