Your role:

Your role as the Supply Chain Strategist is to optimize manufacturing and production capacity through process, design, resource procurement, and collaboration with supply chain partners. You are responsible for monitoring finished goods inventory, supervising transportation and storage, overseeing day-day supply chain logistics, and managing the relationship with manufacturers.

As the Supply Chain Strategist, you will report to the North America Supply Chain Manager.

Your responsibilities:

  • Resolving day-to-day supply chain issues and promoting operational consistency.
  • Negotiating contracts with existing manufacturers as well as identifying new strategic partners.
  • Establishing risk management plans related to procurement, storage, logistics, and staffing.
  • Reporting on competitive intelligence, as well as market and consumer trends.
  • Ensuring compliance on import, export, and shipment regulations.
  • Running Kaizen events with strategic partners to continually improve output and efficiency.
  • Identifying  and avoiding potential production bottlenecks through direct involvement in capacity planning of manufacturing sites:
    - Improving lead time
    - Reducing idle time
    - Increasing production to meet customer demand
    - Developing and maintaining safety stock levels
    - Improving quality practices
  • Maintaining supplier relations and making Heliox a preferred partner.
  • Expediting orders as needed to maintain supply flow but working to reduce costs where applicable.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience in reducing cost or improving efficiencies
  • Experience in customer-facing position
  • Sourcing experience
  • Six Sigma knowledge
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Fluency in English
