Certification & Compliance Engineer

Your role

As a Certification & Compliance Engineer, you take ownership of all type‑testing and compliance activities for our eMobility charging products in the Netherlands. You ensure our solutions meet international and regional standards, including IEC and UL. In this role, you oversee the full type‑testing process, manage certification workflows, and safeguard product lifecycle compliance. You build strong partnerships with certification bodies and work closely with our internal development and engineering teams to secure high‑quality, compliant product releases.

Key Responsibilities

Develop type‑test processes: Create and standardize global procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, and compliance.

Coordinate type‑test activities: Manage test plans and ensure all certification milestones meet the applicable standards.

Engage with certification bodies: Work directly with TÜV, Dekra, UL, and others to define compliant test protocols and testing environments.

Support product development: Integrate compliance requirements into product designs and collaborate with global teams from concept to launch.

Maintain active stakeholder communication: Share updates, address challenges early, and ensure alignment across partners and internal teams.

What You Bring

  • A masters degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 10–15 years of experience in type testing, compliance management, or system engineering for electrical products
  • Proven experience with certification bodies such as TÜV, Dekra, and UL
  • Strong knowledge of IEC/UL standards, PLM frameworks, and risk assessment approaches
  • Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
  • A collaborative and pragmatic working style
