Job Description

The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for efficient benefits administration of employee benefits such as but not limited to health insurance, life and accident insurance, and other perks.

  • Ensure that all benefits-related processes run smoothly.
  • Must stay updated with the latest labor laws and regulations to ensure that the organization's benefits policies are compliant.
  • Communicating benefits information to employees is crucial, the owner of this role should be adept at explaining benefit plans, helping employees understand, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist new hires with the enrollment process for benefits and provide guidance during onboarding to help them make informed regarding their benefits.
  • Handle the processing of benefits claims ensuring that employees receive their entitled benefits promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborating with benefit providers and vendors as part of the role. Must include negotiation and maintaining relationships with partners to ensure cost-effective and efficient services.
  • Occasionally may be involved in policy development and updates on related employee benefits, aligning them with the HelloConnect goals and local regulations.
  • Promote employee engagement through benefits programs and initiatives, ensuring that benefits are competitive and attractive to current and potential employees.
  • Perform ad hoc functions as required.

Skills and preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or any related course
  • With at least 2 years of working experience in the related field
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive approach
  • Detail, goal and output-oriented
  • Can work with minimal supervision

Benefits

  • Unused leave credits can be converted into money for a maximum of 5 days, provided at the end of the year.
  • 13th-month pay calculated proportionally based on the duration of employment.
  • Long Service Benefit is granted at a rate of 0.5 times your monthly basic salary per year of service, capped at a maximum of 2 monthly salaries.
  • Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage is available for the principal employee from the first day of employment and for one dependent after one year.
  • Group Life Insurance is provided.
  • Paid time off includes 10 days per year during the first year of employment, and 20 days per year starting from the second year of employment.
