Role Description

Reporting to the Managing Partner and working with the Human Resource Director and Director for Business Services, the Information Technology Executive will be responsible in overseeing all IT functions and operations of Helmi Talib Group. He/She will be in-charge of developing and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of technology strategies set by the Firm.

This role will involve collaborating closely with IT vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day IT support operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise ensuring effective and efficient IT operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for both hardware and software systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades. This includes but not limited to:
    • Perform software license compliance assessment, identifying gaps/risks, and optimization opportunities.
    • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems are up to date with the latest security standards, as well as best practice security measures against cyber-attacks.
    • Provide first level of troubleshooting support to users and act in alignment with user needs and system functionality.
    • Maintain and preserve assets, information security, and control structures.
    • Responsible for the maintenance of on-premises and cloud Windows-based servers.
    • Oversee and maintain all web sites, domains, and hosting system.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions and improvements of all departments to determine technology needs.
  • Audit IT systems and identify the need for upgrades, IT configurations or new systems, and report findings and propose solutions to the Managing Partner.
  • Report and work closely with the Director for Business Services for the purpose of engaging risk management and system of quality management of the Firms IT system.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Manage IT budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement and utilization of IT resources.
  • Manage IT partner and vendors and ensure the designated vendor meets contractual service levels for the projects and system.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization and making recommendations accordingly.
  • Be a team player, working cooperatively and communicating effectively in the work environment.
  • Facilitate effective communication within a cross functional and culturally diverse team.
  • Identify areas for personal development to improve work performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant IT experience in accounting firm and/or professional services industry.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or a similar role.
  • Proficient with computer hardware, Windows Operating System, Networks, Active Directory, FortiGate, VMware virtualization, Microsoft 365, HP switches / routers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
  • Resilient and able to adapt well in a highly fast-paced and dynamic environment.
