ROLE PURPOSE

Manage the software development life-cycle (SDLC) of applications for the Bank to ensure usability, maintainability, scalability, availability, extendibility, security and portability of the systems for the optimisation of system usage within the Bank.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY

·         Develop Ensure maximum stability system uptime and optimal system response time, with minimal business disruptions, according to established service level agreement (SLA) and as well as ensure systems that meet the business requirements.

·         Manage the development of software solution, lead technical discussions to deliver business-critical functionalities through application development.

·         Manage the integration of IT solutions into the Bank’s IT infrastructure and software environment and align its outcomes to achieve the Bank’s Business Plan.

·         Act as the point of escalation for issues with development resources and/or vendors around code quality to ensure effective resolution, coding standard and adherence to project plan.

·         Act as the supply manager for development and maintenance resources, assessing skills and capacity, ensuring compliance between the technical opportunities (technology, framework, process) and the existing resources to help alignment for upcoming demand.

·         Ensure that all tools, environments and related development components are provisioned and maintained to enable delivery of proactive and timely IT services to business users

·         Oversee system performance analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging and documentation for application delivery.

·         Work with the application support and documentation groups to develop technical and user training material for new applications and major system enhancements.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE :

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology. An advanced degree is highly desirable.

·         Experience: Minimum 7 years working experience with hands-on experience in solution development and maintenance of which at least

·         3 years as the head. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile. Certification is highly desirable
