Procurement Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join an international engineering and project delivery environment supporting major high-voltage and medium-voltage substation projects across Scandinavia.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical electrical infrastructure for data centres and industrial facilities, working alongside engineering specialists, project teams and leading international electrical equipment manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for HV/MV electrical equipment, ensuring alignment with project budgets, specifications and schedules.
• Lead RFQ processes, technical and commercial bid evaluations, supplier selection and procurement recommendations.
• Manage relationships and negotiations with international manufacturers of transformers, switchgear, protection and control equipment.
• Coordinate procurement activities with Engineering, Project Management and Construction teams to support successful project execution.
• Monitor manufacturing progress, equipment deliveries, Factory Acceptance Tests and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Procurement or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical infrastructure procurement, including HV/MV substation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, AIS/GIS switchgear, protection and control systems, together with RFQ preparation, technical bid evaluation and supplier negotiations.
• Proven experience supporting EPC/EPCM infrastructure projects and coordinating procurement activities with engineering and project delivery teams.
• Experience with data centre infrastructure or international electrical infrastructure projects will be considered a significant advantage.
