Senior Power BI & DWH Specialist

Role Overview

This strategic role is designed for a data-driven expert to shape and advance a global data landscape. You will be responsible for designing innovative data processes, optimizing existing workflows, and integrating new solutions to transform complex data into actionable business insights.

• BI Solution Design: Create and optimize advanced Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI, including the development of scalable data models and complex DAX formulas.
• Data Architecture: Build and enhance the Data Warehouse environment, designing robust data models and integrating diverse sources such as ERP, CRM, and cloud services.
• ETL Leadership: Lead ETL projects utilizing SSIS or Azure Data Factory to ensure high data quality and peak performance within Microsoft database environments.
• Governance & Optimization: Conduct performance tuning, implement security concepts, and establish best practices for global data management.
• Strategic Advisory: Act as a technical consultant for internal stakeholders and provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members.

Key Requirements

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within complex IT environments.
• Technical Mastery: Excellent knowledge of Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) and solid SQL skills with relational databases.
• Architecture Knowledge: Proven experience in the architecture and implementation of Data Warehouses and deep knowledge of ETL tools and integration processes.
• Cloud Proficiency: Experience with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Azure.
• Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and efficient backlog management.
• Mindset & Communication: A conceptual, solution-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Operational Flexibility: Fluent in English; willingness to perform on-call duties and travel within Europe as required.
