Role Overview
A growing cloud and technology services Portuguese company is looking for a Technical Pre-Sales & Solutions Lead, based in Porto/North Region, to lead the design and delivery of their technical value propositions.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for a technical expert with strong commercial instincts. You will bridge the gap between our commercial team and our technical Portfolio, acting as the primary architect for new business opportunities. This is an individual contributor role that offers a clear progression path towards a Technical Manager position as the company and team continue to scale.
The Role
You will sit at the center of the companys commercial activity, serving as the lead technical authority during the sales cycle. You will work side-by-side with the commercial team to qualify leads, translate complex customer needs into robust technical designs, and ensure every solution is both commercially viable and technically sound.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Lead the architecture of cloud, data center, security and connectivity solutions.
- Commercial Support: Assist in deal-shaping, creating and presenting compelling technical proposals that demonstrate ROI.
- Technical Ownership: Maintain hands-on involvement in service configuration and vendor portal management.
- Process Maturity: Help build a more structured pre-sales framework to improve the speed and accuracy of our quotes and deployments.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with partners and vendors to ensure our service portfolio remains competitive and cutting-edge.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Background
- Professional Experience: Approximately 4 to 6 years of experience in technical roles, with at least 2 years focused on Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Solid foundation in Information Systems, Public Cloud (AWS preferred, Azure a plus), and Security.
- Connectivity: Practical understanding of data center environments and telecommunications/connectivity services.
- Hands-on Capability: Comfortable working within partner portals and configuring technical platforms; you enjoy staying "close to the tech."
Commercial Acumen
- Deal Shaping: Proven ability to qualify opportunities and understand the commercial "why" behind a technical "how."
- Communication: Ability to present complex solutions clearly to both technical leads and business decision-makers.
- Bilingual/Trilingual Skills:
- Portuguese: Native or professional proficiency (Mandatory).
- English: Professional working proficiency (Mandatory).
- Spanish: Highly preferred (or a strong willingness to learn with company-supported training).
