Role Overview
This role is a strategic appointment within a newly established Finance & IT Center of Expertise (CoE) for a premium Swiss chocolatier. As a Senior Accountant, you will lead the transition and execution of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across international business operations.
- Process & Knowledge Transfer: Lead the initial project phase by collaborating with onshore teams to document and transfer P2P processes into the new CoE, creating operational procedures from scratch.
- Process Ownership & Governance: Maintain responsibility for the full P2P lifecycle for assigned regions, ensuring strict adherence to global policies, audit readiness, and archiving standards.
- Operational Excellence: Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies to lead initiatives that streamline workflows and reduce cycle times during and after the transition.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary contact for procurement, finance, and business units on all P2P matters, working closely with the Center Head and Department Leads.
- Strategic Reporting: This position reports directly to the Head of Purchase-to-Pay and is based in Porto.
Key Requirements
- Professional Expertise: Proven experience in Senior Accounting roles with a deep focus on the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle.
- Project Experience: Experience in process migration, knowledge transfer, or setting up Shared Service Center (SSC) operations.
- Operational Rigor: A solution-driven mindset with the ability to ensure high-quality standards in a growing international business environment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the CoE across multiple nationalities.
