Job Description
Our Client:
Important company in the consumer goods / home & living sector is seeking a Sales Development Director for Mexico to lead the opening and expansion of the open market in the country, building commercial strategy, pricing structure, and sales floor operations, and developing the local team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development: Lead the opening and expansion of the open market in Mexico, identifying and developing commercial opportunities across retail and hospitality channels.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the local commercial team (pricing/quoting support and sales force), building capacity as the business grows.
- Commercial Strategy: Design and execute pricing, channel, and commercial positioning strategy for the Mexican market.
- Strategic Relationship Building: Build and sustain long-term relationships with leading retail chains and hospitality players in Mexico.
- Regional Coordination: Align strategy and best practices with the counterpart role overseeing the North America market.
- Commercial Operations: Structure sales floor processes and commercial operations, ensuring consistent and scalable execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience specifically within the mattress/sleep products manufacturing industry.
- Current, active relationships with leading retail chains and hospitality players in Mexico.
- "Doer" profile: autonomous, able to operate without micromanagement, and hit the ground running from day one.
- Experience structuring pricing programs and commercial strategy.
- Bilingual/fluent English (mandatory).
