Senior Project Engineer (SPE) - Civil Contractor Side - Civils

This project size demands a highly competent and autonomous Senior Project Engineer, who will report directly to the Area Manager. We are after someone strong on NSW TfNSW standards, able to understand project goals and ensure daily activities of staff & contractors align with the plan. You will need to demonstrate being able to manage and oversee a project (or an assigned project section) around the $25M mark. You naturally will need your civil engineering bachelor degree.

As a Senior Project Engineer, your tasks will include

• being the face of the project and proactively and positively conducting client interaction
• maintaining the contractual schedule & program;
• preparing short term look ahead programs;
• providing input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting requirements;
• monitoring and reporting on project progress;
• monitoring, reviewing and undertaking project valuation, maintain focus on financial outcomes, cost tracking and forecasting reports to ensure project targets are optimised;
• play an active role in daily site works management, provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria;
• supervise the daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements;
• coach and provide leadership to junior engineers and assigned project employees on relevant tasks to assist with their training, including setting individual KPIs, conducting and reviewing individual performance management.
