General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commissioning activities for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, including test procedures, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during commissioning, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of systems and equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the commissioning process
  • Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolutions and maintaining project schedules.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on commissioning activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the commissioning process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all commissioning-related activities, fostering effective communication between stakeholders. Participate in meetings with different stakeholders to discuss project progress and address any concerns regarding commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the commissioning process.
  • Conduct post-commissioning evaluations and prepare detailed reports on system performance.
  • Advise the Project Director of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • At least fifteen years of overall experience in a Construction and/or engineering role.
  • Minimum 5 years Experience in MEP testing and commissioning in Mega projects, preferably industrial or public buildings.
  • Expertise in commissioning processes, methodologies, and quality assurance practices
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems including HVAC, fire protection, controls and building automation systems.
  • Proficient in assessing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experienced in using commissioning management software and documentation tools and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
