General Description of Role & Responsibilities:
- Review/comment the Baseline Schedule and other schedule and report to the Controls Manager.
- Review and continuously monitor, against approved schedules, the Contractors major construction progress and ensure equipment and manpower are adequate or in case of any shortage report to Controls Manager.
- Review in detail the recovery schedules as submitted by the Contractors and ensure manpower and site supervision staff are increased properly.
- Regular visits to project sites to validate whether the progress of work on site is in compliance with approved schedules, major milestones have been met and report deficiencies to Construction Manager.
- Review all daily, weekly and monthly reports as submitted by Contractor and report to Controls Manager any deficiency or non-compliance.
- Review any claim involving time impact as submitted by the Contractor and report his assessment to Controls Manager.
- Review field design changes and Trend Notices and assess time impact if any.
- Advise the Construction Manager of any foreseen slippage of progress and corrective actions to be taken.
- Attend weekly progress meeting and monthly Executive meetings and participate in preparing the agenda.
- Assist Controls Managers during the preparation of Monthly Progress reports and Monthly Executive Presentations.
- Reviews the commissioning plans as submitted by the Contractor and ensure its compliance with the approved Baseline schedule.
- Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the Close-Out Reports as submitted by the Contractor.
Experience, Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher.
- A qualified Engineer with a minimum of 12 to 15 years experience Planning works in similar Projects.
- Must be fully conversant with Primavera, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, etc.
