General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor site construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular surveillance of civil, structural, and architectural finishes works, comparing execution against approved submittals and ITPs.
  • Ensure materials incorporated into the works are in full compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and project standards.
  • Participate in inspections and witness points according to the approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Liaise with the contractors QA/QC team to confirm readiness for inspections and verify hold/witness/test points.
  • Review documentation and validate test results for compliance and adherence to project tolerances and specifications.
  • Produce inspection reports and provide daily field updates to support quality and progress tracking.
  • Support the Quality Engineer and Construction Management team with technical insights related to civil and architectural finishes execution.
  • Promote a right-first-time culture by engaging in toolbox talks and reinforcing quality awareness on site.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout site monitoring activities.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Hill Internationals Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) policies, procedures, and manuals at all times during employment.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in site inspection on large-scale building or infrastructure projects, including previous roles with supervision consultants or main contractors.
  • Experience in airport infrastructure projects or similar environments with strict regulatory oversight is preferred.
  • Good understanding of inspection protocols, quality procedures, and document control processes in EPC environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and electronic reporting tools for inspections and daily documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks under tight timelines.
  • Proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to problem-solving and field operations.
