Senior Automotive Clay Modeller

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Clay Modeller to join our client's design team.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for creating physical design models and prototypes in close cooperation with project managers, designers, studio engineers and suppliers. You will take on a challenging and creative role, collaborating closely with the team and designer to develop new designs, primarily using clay. You will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in clay modelling to craft detailed models and ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for both internal and external reviews. You will play a pivotal role in bringing design concepts to life and impacting the decision-making process for the management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to develop and create detailed clay models for both exterior and interior
• Prepare show models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation - both exterior and interior
• Support critical decision-making by producing high-quality models that convey design intent to the management team
• Take ownership of assigned projects, overseeing both model development and team member performance

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Proven ability to lead minor modelling projects from concept to completion
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience guiding and mentoring team members
• Able to work independently and take responsibility
• Proficiency in English
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
• Positive attitude with a proactive approach to challenges
• Self-driven, result-oriented, and adaptable to changes
