Marketing Manager (Cannabis, Los Angeles Only)

Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site, Mon-Fri, 9:00am - 6:00pm)
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annually

About the Role

Hire Highs, is seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Manager to join our client's marketing team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting marketing campaigns across multiple functions including product development, design, media production, digital marketing, social media, trade marketing, events, promotions, and category initiatives.

The Marketing Manager will serve as a thought partner to marketing directors and managers, working cross-functionally to ensure smooth campaign execution. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires strong organizational skills, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support marketing campaigns across product launches, store grand openings, category initiatives, and promotions
  • Partner with design, production, digital, and trade marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns
  • Contribute to brainstorming, concept development, and creative campaign planning, bringing fresh and innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with operations and media production teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and project execution
  • Analyze marketing performance data to track effectiveness and recommend optimizationsAttend and support brand events as needed, representing the 
  • company professionally
    Ensure projects are managed effectively using Asana (or similar project management platforms)
  • Act as a liaison between marketing leadership and cross-functional teams, maintaining accountability across department

Requirements

  • Must be based in Los Angeles and reside within 30 minutes of Downtown, with availability for in-office work.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience within the cannabis industry
  • Proven experience running creative, data-driven marketing campaigns from concept to execution
  • Familiarity with leading cannabis brands and platforms such as Weedmaps, Cam, Cookies, Wyld, Jeeter, Backpackboyz, Kushy Punch, LA Originals, Raw Garden, Select, Cann, STIIIZY, Uncle Arnies, Bloom, Made, Bear Labs, ABX, Cannabiotix (CBX), 710 Labs, Claybourne, Hyperwolf, Turn, Papas and Barkley, CAKE, Dabwoods, Packwoods, Astronauts
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and trade marketing strategies
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and take accountability for results
  • Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to collaborate across all levels of the marketing department
  • Willingness to attend events and activations as needed
