Role Overview
The Hyperlocal SEO Specialist & Project Coordinator will be a dedicated, remote team member based in the Philippines, working closely with our US-based Senior SEO Manager. This role is crucial for scaling and maintaining our comprehensive local search strategy across a growing portfolio of more than 48 US retail locations.
This position requires a strong blend of technical local SEO knowledge, exceptional copywriting skills for local content, and proven project management abilities to ensure technical strategy translates into measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
I. Hyperlocal Execution & Maintenance (70%)
- Listing Management & Maintenance: Manage, audit, and maintain data consistency (Name, Address, Phone) for all Google Business Profiles (GBPs) and third-party directory listings across 48+ US locations.
- Content & Posting: Write, schedule, and publish high-quality, conversion-focused GBP posts, offers, and unique local content across all locations, ensuring strong local relevance for US audiences.
- Image & Asset Management: Manage the workflow for sourcing, optimizing, and uploading the required 3-5 new photos per store each month across all digital profiles (GBPs, location pages, etc.).
- Reputation Management: Implement and manage a streamlined process for soliciting, monitoring, and responding to customer reviews across all key local platforms (Google, Yelp, etc.).
- On-Page Implementation: Execute on-page optimizations as directed by the SEO Manager, including updating meta-data, internal links, and Local Business Schema within the CMS.
II. Reporting, Translation, and Project Coordination (30%)
- Project Coordination: Assist the Senior SEO Manager (Mark) with the project management of core optimization items, ensuring timelines are met for existing and new stores.
- Data Translation: Serve as the liaison between the technical SEO team and the client, helping to translate data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and BrightLocal into clear, non-technical business interpretations.
- Performance Reporting: Generate and interpret weekly/monthly local performance reports using Google Sheets, providing insights on local rankings, customer conversions, and reputation trends for US clients.
- New Store Onboarding: Manage the entire local SEO onboarding checklist for all new store additions, including GBP setup, initial photo upload, and citation building.
Required Skills & Experience
- Remote Location: Must be based in the Philippines and capable of working independently with strong time management skills.
- US Market Experience (Preferred): Proven track record working with US clients or US-based multi-location businesses, understanding regional nuances and search behavior.
- Local SEO Mastery: Demonstrated experience managing 20 Google Business Profiles (GBPs) simultaneously, with a deep understanding of local ranking factors (Proximity, Relevance, Prominence).
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and experience extracting and utilizing data from SEMrush or BrightLocal.
- Copywriting: Excellent ability to write compelling, concise, and localized copy for GBP posts and on-page content that drives click-throughs and conversions.
- Data Organization: Highly proficient in using Google Sheets or Excel for data consolidation, reporting, and tracking large datasets (48 stores).
- Communication: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with the US-based team and clients.
