Role: Wireless Project Manager (engineering project)
Based Location: one of French speaking country in SE of Africa
Role Overview:
As the Wireless Site Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of carrier projects, particularly in new construction and capacity expansion of wireless sites. Your comprehensive understanding of project management, coupled with your mastery of wireless site engineering processes and the clients internal procedures, will be essential in overseeing and facilitating the seamless delivery of projects. You will be responsible for managing the construction team, ensuring project progress, mitigating risks, and fostering effective communication both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Utilize your fluency in French and English to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Leverage your extensive telecom work experience, surpassing five years, to guide the project team in alignment with the carrier's delivery mode.
Demonstrate a profound understanding of project management principles and practices, steering new construction and capacity expansion projects for wireless sites.
Employ your familiarity with wireless site engineering processes to manage the construction team, track project progress, and proactively identify and address risks.
Lead the identification and resolution of risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within quality parameters.
Utilize your expertise in the clients internal processes to streamline project workflows and ensure adherence to company standards.
Foster strong internal and external communication channels, ensuring that project updates, concerns, and milestones are effectively shared.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project outcomes and achieve client satisfaction.
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, clients, and stakeholders, addressing their technical concerns and requirements.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Over five years of telecom work experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in the industry.
Masterful grasp of project management methodologies and techniques, with a track record of managing wireless site projects.
Thorough knowledge of wireless site engineering construction processes of carriers, including new construction and capacity expansion.
Familiarity with the clients internal processes, ensuring projects align with company standards.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the capability to manage construction teams and drive project progress.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interactions within the organization and with external stakeholders.
